I assume you are asking about the "H1" visas. (That's H-one, not H-I.) An H1 visa is a type of visa that allows someone that is not a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. to work in the U.S. for a time. These kind of visas must be sponsored by the company the person is working for. By the way, I'm moving this thread over to the Jobs Discussion forum where it is a bit more appropriate.
