Please help me which one to go for? SCJP 1.4 or SCJP 1.5

hi,

i am working as a programmer(java), and now i am planning to take SCJP.
i am in a big dilemma, whether to take scjp 1.4 or scjp 1.5(Tiger). please help me regarding this issue.


actually my doubt is whether scjp 1.4 will have any value or not after one year. because scjp 1.5 is already available now.

any one please help me.

Hi Venkat,

Go for 1.5 if u r confident.

But i prefer to go for 1.4.
The thing is that we have many mock exams and many books for 1.4, so wer can prepare nicely.

1.5 has just now came and so no much info on it.

If at all u require, u can take an upgrade exam after completing 1.4.

you should go for 1.5...k&b books is enough for studying, you 'll only need mock examens to practice...
ps : you get 2 mocks examens with the books
