Printing AWT From Applet

Hello all,
I am trying to print a panel from an applet, but it isn't working. All I get is a blank page. I am using the print utility that someone had suggested to someone else on this site. I am trying to call the utility with the following:
PrintUtilities.printComponent(aPanel);
Where aPanel is a panel with different awt components on it, i.e. TextArea, TextField, Label, etc.
Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?
