Why would you want such a thing when you've got the online API ?

As a reference the javadocs are very useful. If you're looking for examples and introductions, check out The Java Almanac for JDK 1.4, and "Java in a Nutshell", "Java Examples in a Nutshell" and "Java Enterprise in a Nutshell" from O'Reilly.
