I have a Applet that has a form with several text fields. I am using JDK 1.4.1 and primarily Windows Machines with IE 5.5/6. And the tab key doesn't seem to work. I hit tab and it does not traverse anywhere. As an application, the tab key works just fine. Is this a bug, a limitation, or what? Thanks.
hi Gregg, you can make sure if tab is working or not by implementing KeyListener and detect the tab key code and popup some message or something... if you are able to pop up the message then it will mean your applet is able to detect the tab key. if not then its a problem with the applet (may be due to the JDK1.4 api you are using)... i have worked with applet with JDK1.1 (way back, huh?) and there this tab thing worked for me. please let me know whatever you are able to find.. regards maulin
Well, I do notice this. When I hover my mouse over the JTextArea, my pointer does not turn into the cursor. It stays as an Arrow. I have noticed in the passed that when this happens I lose TAB capabilites. But usually I starts off ok. But on this applet it doesn't. Does anyone have any insight?
