Is it possible to send the cookie from applet back to the server?
If yes, how?

I'm out of practice as far as CREATING cookies in an applet, but the actual transmission of the cookies themselves is automatic when you use HttpURLConnection. In fact, the cookies on the containing page are inherited into the applet. Thids is especially important since one of them is often the one that manages the server session.

I figured it out.
We can send cookie using HttpURLConnection.setRequestProperty("Cookie", value);
value will be in form 'key=value'...
