These two are sufficient. Perhaps, some mocks(whizlab, jq++) would be useful.

Hey Praveen,

If I read your post correctly, you're using 3 books to study for the 5.0 exam - none of them are really intended as a 5.0 exam study guide. I think it's possible that the collection of the 3 books will cover most or all of the topics that you'll need to study. I would have to say though, that if you need to use your time more efficiently, I'd recommend that you find material that is specifically intended for the 5.0 exam.

hth,

Bert

Hi Praveen,

I cleared SCJP 1.5 with 84% yesterday. Not happy with the score but I know I could have easily topped 90% by planning better and focussing on the exam.

I've shuffled between the 1.4 exam K&B book, several online tutorials, the whizlabs exam and then the 1.5 exam K&B book.

So, here's your chance to apply my Bitter Java pattern - just get the K&B 1.5 book and focus on it. It explains ideas in easy language, provides tough end of chapter questions and gives an idea on relative importance of different topics. I found the whizlab exam helpful in identifying the weak areas that need more work. The tests I took the day before the exam helped reinforce some concepts that figured on the exam.

Bert is the B of the K&B book, but his book is so good, he doesn't need to post here to get anybody to buy it. He wishes you to succeed, and good luck from me too!

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
