Hey ,
do you guys know that the pdf version of the book by Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates is circulating around free of cost ?? Why did anyone ever do that ?? Not That I want to stop people from writing certs. But when I have paid for the book to prepare for SCJP , many people do not have to pay for the book at all. You make something public domain, please make it that , from the beginning ,guys!

No, the pirates did that. Those with no respect for intellectual property or copyright.
If you had presented a link to a site sharing copies of any book, then we would delete it, report it to the publishers and let them take any legal action they need to prevent such sharing.
I guess certain publishers will think twice about providing a CD copy of their book in future.
