Hello there..

I have a mysteries problem.
I have a client server program using RMI in Java 1.4 but sometimes before anything shows up, At the point that my java applet show up from the HTML page on 10% of the times I see a white window on the HTML page at the size of the applet and it dead.

After this point everything stuck I cant even close my html window
I have to do it from the task manager.

What happiness here?

Hi,

Welcome to JavaRanch!

Do not post the same question to more than one forum. See here for some reasons why. I've deleted all the other copies.

This is not really a Java question, but an OS question: sometimes your browser crashes when viewing Java applets. The answer is to upgrade your browser, OS, video drivers, Java Plug-in, etc, with all the latest patches. By definition, a Java program can't crash your browser. Any time it does, it's a bug in one of the above. Nothing you do in Java can change that.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
