hashcode for 1.5

Dear Ranchers

I am studying for SCJP 1.5 exam and will be takeing it on Aug 30.Can anybody tell me what concepts of hashcode one needs to know to take up the exam.I see a lot of questions on hashcode in the mock tests i took.
Please advice.

Most of what you need to know (the "hashCode contract") is described in the API documentation for the hashCode method in the Object class.

Beyond that, you should understanding the reasons for hashing. See Understanding hashCode() topic in Eckel's Thinking in Java.
