Saving content of an Applet as a picture

I have no idea where to start. Some example would be best, but if you guys can give me some idea about where to look at, that would be appreciated too.

I have this applet that is showing a map. I need to save it as a picture.

what to do?

Assuming you are using Windows:
Press Ctrl+PrintScreen
Paste into your favorite image editing software.

thanks for the reply. but alt+printscreen will copy the whole webpage not only the applet. I need only the webpage after clicking a button, and that should open the "save" window.

There are various shareware print-screen enhancements that allow you to just take a picture of the active window (or even just a rectangle that you define with the cursor). Google should help you find them pretty quickly.
