What happened to that thread about IT/Call centre stress and suicide?

That thread also made suicide.Neighbors suspect that its a murder.Police are investigating the case.Lets not discuss till then.

Fair enough.

IMHO it would be brilliant if the thread was locked and left there in the MD for a couple of days, just so that everyone can see why it is locked and why it is going to be deleted in next few days. Just a thought!

I would second that too.. I missed the last few posts I think, and the next time I checked the thread was gone..

I felt like I had watched a mystery movie that did not have the last 10 minutes, and now, I dont know who the baddies are!

As an aside, I would like to thank all of the moderators on this forum for being so diligent in moderating the forums. Even though, very occasionally, I have felt they are just a little, teeny bit, over zealous about it, I realize that Java Ranch being such a fun place to be is because of you folks. Thanks!

I have seen the full thread so let me fill you in. There was a discussion. A point was proven so eloquently and such that there could be no dispute as to the brilliance and correctness of said argument, thus requiring no further continuance of the debate. The thread then vanished in a puff of logic.

I read it too and when I came to understand it I suddenly vanished. ... I got better.

Seriously though, I got upset when I saw it deleted but then realized that if I am upset about it then it probably isn't drivel because drivel is nothing to get upset over.

Not sure if I can personally buy into that as a barometer for drivel. I'm pretty sure several people would be upset if I deleted the Word Association thread, and it doesn't really get much more drivelous than that.

I suppose you are correct. The check does work for my own personal barometer, but there are other ranchers that are very passionate about drivel. :roll:
