Is the kit useful for novices like me who don't have real life (I mean of projects)experience of Java and new to Java?

The exam is intended for programmers who have sufficient hands-on experience in Java. It need not be on actual projects, you just need to practice with small examples till you get comfortable with all the concepts. The PrepKit is aimed at getting you familiar with the kind of questions you can expect in the exam and to let you identify your weak areas so that you can prepare more on those. But hands-on practice has to be there, even if you use the PrepKit.
