I am attempting to connect to an oracle Database via an applet. My code seems fine, as it works from my JDE's Supplied applet viewer. I think my problem is the code in the HTML file I am using to display the applet. I use the following (without ojdbc14.jar, and without connecting to the DB) to run the applet, where "myApplet is the applet I have written.:
Ive tried a few different things but they dont seem to work - If anyone could advise me on how to include ojdbc.jar in this code that would be great, as Im really stuck!!! Thanks,
A browser will not honor any of the params, so if those are supposed to make the JVM do something automatically, it won't work. Also, is the DB on the same host from where the applet is served? If not, it wouldn't work, because applets can only connect to the host from which they were served. What exactly isn't working? Any exceptions?
