Anybody can explain about strictfp. i didnt get the exact definition.

Hi Kavitha,

It is used on classes or methods for floting point arithmetic.If this is specified then the resulting numbers are same on all platforms, since by typing the keyword strictfp we are saying the compiler to adhere to a specification namely the IEEE-754 standard.

However there is a catch. If your platform supports a higher precession then you have to sacrifice it.
