If I have situation to create the Traffic chart for site then how much efforts I have to put? Also is it possible in applet or there are other technologies or open source packages available which can help me?

Please let me know...

What should this chart show? Can you link to an example? Should this chart be static or dynamic?

Hi,

Something like on http://www.alexa.com/ where you can put any sites name and can see the trafiic and other stats for that site.

But in my case it will create chart/graph for a specific site which can display time on X aixs and nos of users on Y axis.

My immdiate guess was applet or swing. But then I dont know its performance or its feasibility...
If you know any other technique pls dolet me know...

Thanks
Parag

While an applet can do this, the chart probably wouldn't change more than once a day, right? In that case, the interactivity of applets is largely wasted.

There are excellent libraries that can create X/Y charts as images, primarily JFreeChart and JChart2D. Links to these two, an example for JChart2D, and the cewolf tag library for JFreeChart can all be found on the OtherOpenSourceProjectsFaq page.
