Two minute Drill:Any tips??

Hi ranchers,
I have been studying for scjp using k&b for the past one and a half months.I have heard views from fellow ranchers and also frm the author that two minute drills are very important.The problem is that i dont want to simply memorize the points in the two minute drill which i think will do more harm than good.So please post any suggestions to study the two minute drill in a way that i can understand and does not lead to any blanket memorization study.

Actually i went through the table of contents trying to remember what i had read from the book. I went through the two minute drill just to skim through it once.

I don't think you should memorize them. If you have studied enough they should sound familiar to you, no need to memorize them, you had already studied.

When I started with the book I read the 2 minutes drill just to have a feel as to what to expect from the chapter.
I came back to the 2 minutes drill after reading the chapter and see whether I have missed any point or not.
I agree with Jimmy that if you have studied the topics properly, the 2 minutes drill will just be a summary of what all you have read.

2 minute drill is what you will find at the end of every chapter of the book
"SCJP for Java 5 Study Guide" by Katherine Sierra and Bert Bates which is the recommended book for getting SCJP certification. It summarises all the main cocepts explained in the chapter.
