Image File writing to web server

hello,
i want to write image file(.jpg) to webserver using Applet. Applet originates from the same webserver.
I have BufferedImage data after capturing the client's screen, now i want to write it back to my server.

What kind of access does the applet have to the server? Assuming it's HTTP only, there will need to be some active server-side component, maybe a servlet. The applet can use the Jakarta HttpClient library, while the servlet would use Jakarta FileUpload. More details can be found at http://faq.javaranch.com/java/FileUpload.
