Getting the value of a input box in an applet?

Good day,

For an example, I have a JSP page which contains an applet.
The applet contains an input box which supposed to get data
from a barcode reader. My question is, is it possible to
get that data in the input box and put it in an input box
written in html or JSP?

Or if the applet that contains the input box is "mixed"
together with other input box written in JSP,
can I get all the values of all the input box?
How?

Thanks.

Applets can read and write to the DOM of the HTML page they're on by using the Common DOM API.

Hi,

I'm sorry I didn't quite understand the things written in the link.
I want to get the value of the input box in applet and
put in a property in javaScript or access it through javaScript.
