Ok people,

I failed in Java upgrade exam 310-056. it is easiest of all java programmer exam probably.

I have always these attention problem. I take too much time reading the question and ran out time most of the time.

What happened in this exam is this. I finished all question and went back to review and made few question wrong from correct. I am pissed off at myself as i failed by 1 answer. i scored 25/46 , 26/46 is pass mark. Now i have to spend extra 100 bucks and wait for 15 days.

Again it is not success story like others. May be my preparation was n't that good. I don't know.

My main problem in these type of exam is i take too much time reading the question , i have to attack these question. So i need a check list for finding out problems in areas. And memorize these methods to improve my reading problem.

Also i found out Exibit type question should be handled last as it is no use in come back and fix it because it will reset that question.

I am already sun certified programmer 1.4. few years ago. I memorize that time. I need expert tips and methods to attack the questions. Like a check list for finding errors. May be i have to make my own.

Thanks
alex

I'd pick up Sierra and Bates Java 5 Certification study guide if you haven't already. They have good advice at the beginning of the book.

Make a first pass....picking out easy questions without tons of code to work through.

All of the Application type questions, skip them the first time through. Once you start answering all of them, you're right..it does no good to go back to them. Answer them once and live with the answer.

You didn't miss passing by much...I think those tips alone will help you pass this.

I would suggest you to take as many mock exams as possible. Take the mock exams seriously, i.e. ahere to the time limit. This will also improve your reading and comprehension speed.
