help reqired

i am thinking of building a pen drive locker sort of application
for that i first need to one most important thing :

when some one first clicks upon the pen drive (G

drive then my program should be notifide about that click on the drive from the user

i am fixed what to do for such a situation
is there some kind of listener for this sort of click on the drive ???

i am unable to get the things going on in this event of user click and how to capture that user click in to my java program

i would be very thankful if guys out there could please help me out

I don't know what a "pen drive locker" application does, but where does the user click on a drive symbol - in a window of the file system, or is this something your applet shows? If the former, then this isn't possible. Applets can react only to events inside of the applet GUI.
