Question Regarding K&B Self Test Question and General Guidance

Hi everyone,

I started preparing for the SCJP 5.0 exam about 1 month ago, and about 500 pages into the K&B study guide.

I will greatly appreciate it if someone can clarify what the correct answer is for question 1 on page 508. There is a typo, so the correct multiple choice answer is never explicitly stated.

Also, I find myself doing horrible in these self tests. I have a daytime job, so I do not get to read the study guide every day. For now, I just read the chapter and attempt to answer the questions from what I remembered. The self test questions are somewhat challenging, as they require both conceptual and programming syntax knowledge. After 6 chapters, my score fluctuates between 35 to 50 percent.

Anyone else share the same experience? I am just wondering if I can actually pass this exam.

the answer for this question is states as "E"

when i did this question i got the answer as

0123445

but the correct answer is

01234456

i want to know why '6' is also returned? is this because of a carriage return character?

I wonder,whats the typo there.When I executerd the current question giving 0123456 as expected.

Sorry for above.There is a typo I got the answar as 01234456, but there is still a doubt why this 6 came at the last?
