I have just posted another message where I forgot to click the Email Notification option. I usually remember to do this, but when I don't it's sort of a bummer. Are there plans to add this as a profile setting, i.e. a user can set this as default behavior for each time they make a posting to a forum? This behavior is available on many of the other forums I use (JDC, JBoss, Hibernate, etc.) and I'm a little surprised that this feature isn't available here. [I know, I know -- we alerady get much more than what we pay for here at the Ranch!]

Just a suggestion...

I second all that.

I find myself coming to JR first with a question, but I still don't get on every day, and I have been known to forget where I put a msg!

If you could put this on your list, it would help a lot.

The forum software we use doesn't support it. Search this forum for discussions on the topic.

Save yourself some trouble and make a "bookmark" or "favorite" for your profile or your recent posts page ("View Recent Posts" link from your profile).

The profile I'm referring to is not "My Profile". You should be able to navigate to your profile from any one of your posts, the "Profile For My Name" link should be near the edit/delete post icon.

Then when you want to find your recent posts you can get to them. You'll also be able to find your member number in case you want to search for one of your older posts in a forum.

Search this forum if you want to see discussions about how hard it is to find your profile, your member number, etc. Not necessary to post more about that here...
