dear authors of the realy nice book "sun certified programmer for Java5 study guide"
There one thing that makes me confusing:

On page 729 in our book you list a table for methode for the object, thread and runnable class/interface.
In the masterexame there is one question 14:36 with says that run is a method of Thread D-:.
So whats right to say? run just via runnable or both?

thank you again for this book! its really good and comprehensive

Hello "faro"-

Welcome to JavaRanch.

On your way in you may have missed that we have a JavaRanch Naming Policy for displayed (screen) names. Your displayed name must consist of a first name (or an initial), a space, and a family name (in that order) and not be obviously fictitious. Since yours "faro", does not conform with it, please take a moment to change it, which you can do right here.

Posters with nonconforming displayed names will be locked out of JavaRanch after a few posts using those names.

Thanks
-Barry

Hi,
Run is a method in the Runnable interface,Thread class do also implements this interface and leaves the real implementation on the Thread subclasses(if one does subclassing otherwise the default runnable target will be called).
