I will decide to enter SCJP and prepare by a book. I will decide to buy "SCJP Exam for J2SE 5 from Paul Sanghera". Is there anyone who bought and prepared with it? Did you recommend it?

thanks lot for your recommendations.

Well, it gets three (only three?) very positive 5 star reviews on Amazon. But I have not noticed any posters here quoting from it or asking any technical questions from it. The problem is that if not many people use it then I guess you will get less responses to your queries here in this SCJP forum. It must be very similar in content to the K & B book, even if written in a more formal style.

Oh yes, search the forum for the author's surname - you will find a few posts mentioning the book - three recommendations came from the same person (his only posts on JavaRanch).

Getting someone to think and try something out is much more useful than just telling them the answer.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
