Sir,
I am currently doing B.sc.(I.T)and am planning to give the SCJP 5.0. within a month. Currently,I am reading the book by Kathy Serria and Bert
Bates. But just reading that book will not help me to clear it.Can I get
good guidance for the same?
Are there any coaching classes in Mumbai especially for the SCJP 5.0 certification? If yes then, please specify, and mention the address.
I am aware of the basics but not as par with the Certification exam.
I am also having the whizLabs simulator.I scored just 2 marks out of 72
when I solved one of the tests in the Simulator.
Kindly suggest the book from where I could get in-depth knowledge of
each of objectives for SCJP 5.0.

I am curious, why? If you read recent posts in our Sun Certification Results forum you will find that many people have passed SCJP 5.0 relying solely upon K & B 5.0. All chapters of the book specify the SCJP objectives that they cover and there is plenty of summary and self-testing material at the end of the chapter. There are even more tests on the CD.

There are, of course, more academic books, on Java 5.0 (for example The Java Programming Language - 4th Edition) and you can read the Java Programming Language Specification, 3rd edition. But these books are not for the faint-hearted, and not specific to the SCJP exam.

Go through some of the topics in this SCJP forum, see how people present their doubts and problems, and read the responses. Somehow they get through SCJP without paying for expensive coaching courses or seminars.
