I AM IMPLEMENTING A NETWORK MONITORING SYSTEM FOR MY GRADUATION PROJECT. FOR THIS I NEED TO TAKE SNAPSHOTS OF THE CLIENT'S SCREEN. I WENT THROUGH MANY BOOKS BUT I COULD NOT GET ANY METHOD.

If you use Java1.3.1, then you can check out the Robot Class. there is a screen capture method in there. if you want to dump the screen capture into a file, then try the jpg encoder in java1.3.1
