I would advice you to self study as I and probably most of the fellows here does. Moreover, you have javaranch available.

I did the Sun SL-275 training which is worthless if you're not completely dominating every subject of SCJP.

Don't do it unless your company is paying, self study is the way to go.

if you are very new to java, training might help you a little. But for certification, they training centers wont really help because most of them have their own curriculum and methodology.

Hello "Mr unshakable"-

Welcome to JavaRanch.

On your way in you may have missed that we have a JavaRanch Naming Policy for displayed (screen) names. Your displayed name must consist of a first name (or an initial), a space, and a family name (in that order) and not be obviously fictitious. Since yours "Mr unshakable", does not conform with it, please take a moment to change it, which you can do right here.

Posters with nonconforming displayed names will be locked out of JavaRanch after a few posts using those names.

Thanks
-Barry
