Do all the questions in SCJP have same weightage ?. For a PASS, i just need to get any of the 32 questions correct ?
Please throw some light

yup, and yup if 32 is the correct number for the exam you're taking
So, if you're pressed for time - blow off that one really hard topic that you know nothing about, and get really good at the others
(Did I really say that?)
In other words, if you suck at threads for instance, you can 0% on threads and still pass.

In the Master Mock exam that came with book of SCJP 1.4, i got 49 correct out of 65, which is 75%, the passing score was 800 and i got 708, so i failed. This led to the above question

the master exam software is really bad - we're working on it with the publisher - just disregard the engine's so-called "understanding" of what the passing rate is - trust what's on Sun's site. Sorry for the confusion.
