Hi,

Are you solving mock exams ? Solve a huge amount of mocks.

Please check:

JavaRanch's Mock Exams
John's Exam
JavaBeat's Mocks Exams

Plus, don't forget to solve the Master Exams of the great K&B book.

Best of luck ...

I concur that you need to take lots of mock exams. You also need to write lots of little sample programs. Keep in mind that during the exam you have 175 minutes to answer 72 questions which works out to about 2 minutes 25 seconds per question. Only practice will make you this fast.

After you've passed the exam I'd suggest taking an internship somewhere as a junior java programmer and continuing onto the java developer certification.

You do need to take mock exams, but just once you've gone through the book, understand the principles.
Sometimes I spend lot of time with mocks, doing one after the other, without stopping too much on the errors. The most important thing is to well understand your mistakes, otherwise you just waste time, since the day after u'll repeat the same errors.
