Hi,

If you are not new to Java and have some amount of knowledge and working experience in Java, then you can dierectly start off with 'Kathy Sierra & Bert Bates's SCJP' book. Its a good book to start.

Good Luck.

The book is :
"Sun Certified Java Programmer" 310-055 Exam Study Guide
By Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates

One of the most famous book available for SCJP preparation.

A lot of mock exam links are available on this site. Commercial exam prep
products are Enthuware, and Whizlabs.

Thanks,

Hello "Amit AB"-

Welcome to JavaRanch.

On your way in you may have missed that we have a JavaRanch Naming Policy for displayed (screen) names. Your displayed name must consist of a first name (or an initial), a space, and a family name (in that order) and not be obviously fictitious. Since yours "Amit AB", does not conform with it, please take a moment to change it, which you can do right here.

Posters with nonconforming displayed names will be locked out of JavaRanch after a few posts using those names.

Thanks
-Barry

Hi Amit,

As per my knowledge, a continous, sincere and serious preparation (with practice) will do for about 2 to 3 months.

Good luck.

Hi Barry,

Have a look and see if this screen name adheres to the javaranch policy.

Thanks,

Nope - B is not a family name, it's an initial. Look what it says in my post (in bold): first name (or an initial), a space, and a family name (in that order)

In my case: Barry is my first name, Gaunt is my family name. If I used an initial it would be B. Gaunt.
