Welcome to ranch.
The latest scjp exam is SCJP 1.5.It has new features. So go for SCJP 1.5 exam.Book you need to refer is Sun Certified Programmer for java 5 by Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates.This book covers all the things that are needed for the exam and its for SCJP 1.5 exam.If you have any doubts post your question here many are there to help you.Also refer this Link.
