I keep seeing links of free mock exam question that is offered by Sun.com. But whenever I looked around at sun's website I can't find any. Only the training package that you have to pay to use it.
I am guessing it used to be free but sun is charging money for it now?

earlier sun used to provide sample questions, not any more now.
Yes training packages are available for pay.

Sun offers several pre-exam "assessments" here, although they aren't well-advertised on the site.

The US Sun site has the same ePractice exams free:

Note that the free ones are the SCJP 1.4 ones, NOT the 5.0 ones.
