Hi everyone,
On 29-Saturday I am planning to take exam. Right now I am taking mock exams & passing with satisfy score. What else I need to do before taking the real exam. Please share your experience who already passed the exam. Can anyone please explain about 82 questions in the exam. I have seen 2-3 posts related to 82 question but I am not getting what exactly about it. I heard they increase exam time also.
Please help me. I appreciate your help.

Hi,
First Good Luck on your exam and all the best. I am planning to take SCJP1.4 on Oct 6. If you don't mind would you share with us the % you were getting in the mock exams (like Dans and Marcus 'mocks). How much is a good % in mock exams to get to a passing % inreal exams. just a guesstimate would be fine

Thanks

On sun's website it states that there are still 72 graded questions on the test. Then there are 10 additional non-graded questions that they are using as feelers for future tests. They are giving you an additional 40 minutes for these 10 questions but they don't count towards/against your score.

Hope that helps!

Good luck with the exam Dolly! If you're getting a good score on the mock exams then you're well prepared for the exam.

According to Sun there are 10 extra questions in the exam now, so you'll get 82 instead of 72 questions. You will get 40 minutes extra time for those questions. The extra questions will not count for your score on the exam.

Sun does this to test out new questions for the SCJP exam. Note that they don't tell you which of the questions are the extra questions, so you'll have to pay attention to all 82 questions.
