Hi, I'm new to this forum.

I did search your site to see if I could find an answer before posting but couldn't find anything.

I got my SCJP in Feb and I've been developing using J2EE for over a year now. My question is - what certification do you recommend I should go for next? I mean in terms of kudos, job prospects, etc. I guess for me it is between the SCBCD and SCWCD but any advice you could give would be much appreciated

thanks

Clare

Howdy Clare McLennan,

  • Welcome to JavaRanch
  • Congratulations on your certification!
  • You can better post it in Sun Certification Results forum. You can do it either it purely depends on the technologies you are working on. If its more of Components (EJB), you can go for SCBCD. Otherwise ,you can choose SCWCD, which is what many people choose after their SCJP.

  • Good luck

It depends on what you want to do and what your experience has been.
If you think the SCWCD is a slam dunk because of your J2EE experience,
and you want a certification under your belt then ......
