career advice needed

Hi Everybody !
I am doing Civil engg . I have still two years left for it to complete. I have done C/C++ and Java . I am preparing for SCJP and hope to clear it.
My question is what shall I do next as I have two more years. I want to go in programming field . Shall I do VB and ORACLE too. I am very ambitious.
