dear sir,
i am presently in last semister of my engineering course in "computer science and engineering".
i have good knowledge of java,servlets,html,javascript,
jdbc,swing etc.
and also c,c++,oracle.
i want to make my career in web technology and development
i want to know,how long the IT boom will last for.
also is their good career in web in terms of long term results.
or will the system engineers/software dev. will be in demand after short duration of time.

also please suggest me what other technologies should i know other than the mentioned above to get a good start for the fresher.I will pass out in June 2001.
Is the practical knowledge of CORBA,RMI,JINI etc is expected from fresh graduates??
please guide me
