I am ganesh Kumar, I have completed SCJP 1.5, and i want to know how many person in India, They SCJP 1.5 certified.

I think there are many persons in India who have cleared SCJP5.
Let me know about your experience about exam.How much time you have taken for preparation...what was your strategy...which books you read...

its difficult to say how many people have completed SCJP but i can give you some stats...
1) I have given my exam from prometric(bombay) and according to the security personal there about 10-12 people pass SCJP every week
2) there are prometric centers all over India so asuming that the same stat applies to all prometric centers around 250-300 people pass SCJP every week
3) ofcourse we still havent counted all the other centers where you can give the exam for eg NIIT, IIHT, CMC,..... and many more
so hope you got the idea
oh and by the way you can still get better stats about other centers and do the math yourself

No Marc dont get me wrong these are not official stats and neither were they disclosed to me by any senior person nor were they officially disclosed to me... it was just that the security gaurd was a nice guy so i just casually asked him about the number of people who actually pass the exam because even i was curious to know that and he knew that cause the printout you get at the end o your exam use to come from his machine
so let me again say these are not official stats and these might not be the most accurate ones and neither do want to disclose any info regarding the real exam nor do i want to go against the rules here at javaranch.com this was just to give the some idea about the stats to the person who started the post

in that case we have to get as many certs as possible, imagine the number of people become SCJP and in years time the cert is just gonna be a piece of paper!( i hope not, to late for me to retreat)
