Are the Whizlabs mock exams for the SCJP exam a true reflection on the difficultly of the actual Sun exam. I have just completed the the first exam and some of the questions seem to have been written badly. For example the language used was ambiguous to say the least in certain questions. Also some of them where quite long.
I believe the general consensus is that the Whizlabs exams are slightly harder than the actual SCJP. And, yes, a small part of that added "difficulty" does unfortunately stem from the occasional ambiguous/poorly-written question. But on the whole, I think their mock exam questions are actually very good in terms of how well they represent the actual exam.
And, speaking from my own test experience, even the actual SCJP questions aren't always that clear or concise. So just grit your teeth and try your best to discern the intentions behind the ambiguously-worded questions. If nothing else, this'll make you a battle-scarred veteran by the time you step onto the real battlefield.
John, I'm taking it on Friday this week too! However, I'm using Enthuware. But I have the same question as I've been penalized on one D&D for putting a space in my answer: List <String> instead of List<String>...whew! I'm scoring about 70-75% on my mocks so I'm hoping that if I grind hard for the week I can improve that by 5-10%.
Hi, I am taking the exam the day after tomorrow. I found the biggest problem I have with Whizlab is that you will be trained way too "careful" for the questions as usually Whizlab trick you. And then you will end up spend more time on each question even it is a simple one....
I am not sure if this is the case in the real exam. But anyway, good luck [ December 09, 2007: Message edited by: wonkty wang ]
