Notification through email

Is there any mechanism through which i can be notified, through email, of any new posts, in my selected forums?

the short answer is only if you create the thread yourself, and (i think) you must set up the thread that way at creation

Thanks Fred, for your reply. So i can be notified about replies to only my posts. Had expected that i would be notified on any new post on selected forums.
