Hi there is a rumor going on in Sri Lanka that SCJP 1.4 Exam will expire in 2008 January. Is it true I'm just worried because I have have done SCJP 1.4. Please people can you help me on this to find out what is true and what is wrong.

I'm not sure what "expire" would mean. You'll always have the certificate - nobody can take that away from you. At some point the 1.4 exam may no longer be offered (just like the 1.2 exam can no longer be taken), but that in no way diminishes your accomplishment.

SCJP 6 (for Java 6) was announced a few weeks ago, but Sun has not made any statement about retracting SCJP 1.4, so nobody knows when SCJP 1.4 will not be available anymore. So what you heard are only rumours.

Also, like Ulf said, when it happens it doesn't mean that your certificate is suddenly worthless.
