I'm currently taking a Master of Science course through the Open University, but doing a degree like this takes a long time (5 - 8 years, realisticly)

The open university is at http://www.open.ac.uk/ . I don't think they do scholarships, but It can't hurt to ask.

Hi, I am back. Sorry for not resp. in time.. I was damn busy [Its not 'usual' here in Dublin, in fact ]
Hi Raghav, I am a Java Consultant with an SCJP, and 4 yrs exp. So, now I am planning to do Masters in IT which will need me to prepare on Sys Architecture, Software Design, bit of Proj. management skills etc..etc..
Hi Frank, Thanks for that link. Yes, time is also a problem. With present market scenario, and unpredictable effects that Euro change over may have in EU market, I am unable to even guess how much time I will stay in Ireland or in UK. May be something around 3 years will be good for me. Or if I can follow the course from some other part of this small world, then that too good
Thanks Immanual, I found a suitable 2 yr, part time course title MSc Computer Science. Can you tell us something more about the value/recognition of degrees from Birkbeck?
Hi Ray Bond, as of now I am in Dublin. But I have valid visa for both UK & Ireland for next 2 yrs. So I was wondering which will be fine for me.. As I mentioned I am working (contract) in Dublin now, and have received permanent job offers to work in Ireland. But I have WP for UK as well..
And in general, is there any issues like a lesser value for open university degrees to that of normal full-time degrees?
Thanks Pals..
Ashok.
[I will keep my word - A pint of Guinness for all - All are welcome to any pub in Dublin.. Who all can make it ? ]
