getAbsolutePath() vs getPath()?

Hi All,

What is the differnce between getAbsolutePath() vs getPath()?
When I use the above two methods to retrieve the file path , I get the same output.
Please I want to know what is the difference between those two methods?

HWy the output is same with the both methods??
what is the significant difference between the two methods??

Hi Deepak, I don't think these two methods are in SCJP 5.0

Hi Deepak,

Try changing the absolute path of your directory to a relative one.

That is, change

File f = new File("D:\\DEEPAK_KUMAR\\Don");

to

File f = new File("Don"); // sub-directory 'Don' in current directory

See if you get any differences.
