Just last week, about Wednesday, I bought my SCJP voucher online from the Sun web site. By the time I got home I had an email waiting acknowledging the purchase... it even had the voucher number on it.

Do they actually mail you a paper voucher of any kind???

I'm not really waiting on it but I can't help but wonder. This is my first time so I have no idea.

To appear for the exam you dont need any paper voucher. You only require the voucher number which you give to your prometric center. The prometric center will then register the exam for you.
Hope this helps

Actually, I called the Sun training people on their toll free number yesterday. According to the Sun employee that I talked to, the email that I got with the voucher number IS the voucher and all that I need to do is call the test center with that number to schedule the test and show up prepared to prove that I am me.

Good enough!
