Hey Ranchers...I graduated college last year with a non-tech degree...had 9 computer science credits...and recently took a Java class at a technical school...I have also been preparing to the SCJP exam...I was thinking of taking a computer science course or 2 at a community college...any suggestions as to which I should take?

If the community college offers a class on database design and/or object oriented design patterns. I would suggest taking those.
I really hate data bases, and have gotten away without having to do much with them. Some people love them. I also don't like design patterns. Depending on the size of the community college there may not be a big selection of classes. Try and get those fundimentals - data structures, object oriented stuff, try and pick up knowledge which can be used with any language. And of course you need Perl. (And unix but that is a personal choise.)
Please ignore post, I have no idea what I am talking about.

Thanks for the tips guys...I have seen Data Structures and OOP classes...hopefully if I get the extra funds I will take them
Lots of schools and/or teachers will let take the class without paying. You just don't get any official credit. But since you are not working towards a degree go get the knowledge first and worry about the credit later.
