Yep. Just try and relax, you will be fine Make sure you have the 2 minute drill covered and most importantly, READ THE QUESTIONS CAREFULLY & THINK! try and find out exactly what the question is testing you on. Breathe and relax, Regards & best of luck.
Hi All I have lost it again... This was the second time I have given the exam after a gap of almost 3 months & a very good preparation. But couldn't make it. I'm not able to understand whether I've read the subject in the wrong way or I've understood the concepts incorrectly. During examination I was very confident that I would definetly get atleast 75%+. But I was shocked to see that I couldn't make it again, was really really disappointed . But I don't want to give up...
I'm an ardent lover of Java & since past 2-3 years I'm learning it. But the actual preparation for SCJP started in December 2007. I have done many programs in almost all the core concepts & have read K&B book 3-4 times. I have also prepared notes for all the chapters. And finally I've took the JavaBeat mock exams & I think they were not sufficient enough to prepare me well for the exam. Though some of my friends have given me dumps, I din't want to cheat myself. I want the stuff to be in my brain forever. I'm not able to understand what else I need to do to get through this exam successfully Please suggest me the right path so that I get through this exam successfully with bright colors....I want the SCJP certificate in my hands at any cost this time
I think you already have the most powerful weapon for the success: the determination. As long as you're willing to take it again, I'm sure you'll get it. I admire your courage and determination to succeed (Read the quote under my message, that quote of Mandela is my "vitamin" to pass through the toughest moments of this life).
Good luck my friend [ July 15, 2008: Message edited by: Mamadou Tour ]
SCJP 5 (76%)
SCWCD 5 (86%)

I'm sorry to hear that you failed despite your good preparation. In the forum I've read several times that candidates usually score 5 - 10% better in the exam than in mock exams of Whizlabs or enthuware. Perhaps it would help you to do some of these (or similar) mock exams in order to know better what score you could expect.
Good luck for the next attempt. [ July 15, 2008: Message edited by: Ralph Jaus ]

Swapna, its really very sad to hear even after taking so much efforts you were not able to get through i feel nervous reading your post... seems like i will have to give more mock tests.... By the way, did you find the 2nd exam any tough than the 1st one?
