Hi!
Im an unexperienced SCJ2P, and I hope, that I will soon reach my SCEA PartI, Im just studying, Computer Science and Economics, but want to work beside university.
What is the average salary I can expect(for 30h per week), as SCJ2P and (hopefully) SCEA PartI?
I live in Austria, the jobsituation is much better than in America, and you sometimes really get a job, if you can spell Java, and an unexperienced guy can expect about 20 to 25$per hour.
But I have no idea, which salary is possible, whith the certificate.
I hope you can give me some advise,
Regards
Othmar

Hi Raghav!
I have about 4 companies, I could work for, I had also contact with the HR people and could start with a salary of 25$ per hour.(without any certificate, how much would this change with SCJ2P?)
All companies are specialized in custom software developement, one especially in Java.
Perhaps I formulated my first question not very well.
My problem is, should I wait, until I reach the SCEA, or should I start working, and make the SCEA beside work.
And what is the average salary as SCJ2P, with no experience, and how much would this rise, with the SCEA Part I?
Thanx in advance!
Othmar

i would suggest you not to wait till the completion of your scja ..... be on the look out for any sort of oppurtunity .
If you can't find any then do some freelancing .

Thanks for your advice, but what is the average salary I can expect, with the information provided above(30h per week, custom software developement company).
Cause I dont want to tell the HR people a to high number, when asked for my salary, and of course not to low.
Any suggestion is appreciated!
Othmar
