Hello all! Does anyone have any idea what are the propects and future on working on SIP based applications? The articles I have read on the net are all going ga ga over it. I have about 3 years of overall experience with 2 yrs in java/j2ee. 90% of my exposure is on the CRM domain. Now I have an offer as a java developer with this start up company which works on SIP based application and another offer from a company (with very sound funding this yr) that works on online retailing. I don't have any previous exposure to IP telephony and related stuff. So, if I took up the offer from the start up I will get very much into voice/data & IP telephony. My question therefore is what are the prospects & mkt for SIP/ip telephony etc ------------------ - Sathvathsan Sampath

Well, I have been reading about those ongoing issues about IP telephony in India, but I am currently based in UK. Therefore, my question is largely restricted to UK/Europe in the near future. Does anyone have any views on this at all? ------------------ - Sathvathsan Sampath
