All you rancher's from this region, how is the job scenario
out there can you give your comments.

I would say - being close to the source (London) - the outlook will be fairly slow for a couple of months at least. However they are out there as its a big place - this as always - depends on skills and experience.
I do know that the big financials (usually the good payers) are trying to drive down costs thus contractor rates are being cut back. Along with staff... September could be worse with most of the big Investment Banks preparing for another round of staff cuts...

Everybody is fairly scared of the slowdown. I think it will hit the region much slower than the US. I live in Scotland and there has been many job loses in the Hardware sector. I agree with Jim in that people with experience in software are fine.
