Hi All,

Just been studying for the SCJP 6 exam for the last couple of weeks. I started using the Enthuware and Whizlabs mock exams for practise.

I have noticed in some of the mocks that they have questions that are not covered in the book, for example there was a question on Externalizable and the '~' operator, again not in the book.

Are these mocks just asking questions on a broader scale to see if you have the knowledge or if they can sneak into the real exam through through some hazy wording of the objectives?

Thanks, L.

Yes some of the questions are not on the objectives.

Also I would like to take this opportunity to ask you which one of them are better according to you I mean Whizlabs or Enthuware???

Exam questions will be on the lines of the exam objectives, try to find out whether exam objectives say that you need to have knowledge of ~ n' all. The practice exams may test you a bit hard.. it's good!

The "~" operator inverts the bits of the operand. Bitwise operators have been dropped from the SCJP exam since version 5.

(For SCJP 1.4, you still do need to know bitwise operators).

Thanks for the advice, im taking it to mean that the mock exams will ask a broader range of questions than the real exam.

Ankit: I haven't really found any difference between Enthuware and Whizlabs. Whizlabs looks more professional when it up and running than Enthuware (which just looks like basic Swing). The questions are much the same. They both let you answer questions based on your area of weakness and whether or not you want easy/tough/very tough questions. Enthuware has a lot more questions. I find in the Whizlabs I always seem to have seen the question before.

So does that mean the questions in the real exam - you have to scroll through to see the entire question. I found it very hard to scroll and understand the question. I hope the questions can be read without scrolling

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
